The highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel from Insomniac is out and the reviews released on October 16, with an overall score on Metacritic of 91. The game continues after the events of Miles Morales, with also a cliffhanger in the first game. According to most reviews, it is the best story Insomniac ever delivered in their games, with a lot of action and memorable moments. Spider-Man’s rogues gallery is almost impressive, with the likes of Venom, Kraven, and Lizard seen in the trailers. Insomniac has kept many more cards hidden up its sleeve. 

Similarly, all the top reviews praise every part of the game from gameplay, the visuals and the story. In some of the reviews wrote “Full of emotional highs that will make you get out of your chair and cheer at the screen in a way that few games have managed to achieve in recent memory”. Also, in another review write“I could label Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as one of the best PlayStation 5 games, but the truth is that would be an understatement because Insomniac’s sequel has gone straight into my top of the best games ever.”.

Furthermore, the main story isn’t the only part of the narrative that Insomniac gave their best, but also the side missions seem to offer a lot. Each character has their own stories told through them. Some enemies appear through side missions like the previous Spider-Man games.
