Netflix ‘s Geeked Week finished! A week that certainly did not disappoint. This year’s event includes exclusive news, sneak peeks, and surprises from some of Netflix’s most anticipated movies, shows, and games!
We watched all the livestreams and here we present you a short Recap of what was revealed and showcased.
We will separate in the categories of ANIME, GAMES and MOVIES/SERIES. So feel free to jump forward if you wish.
Anime and Animation reveals on Netflix Geeked Week
Arcane Season 2
The showcase started with a bang! Arcane Season 2 has finally been announced and it’s coming in November 2024! Really exciting news since it is after all “Best Video Game Adaptation series” as awarded from the Game Awards last year. It will follow the story of the League of Legends Champions, Jinx and Vi. With potentially other champions making an appearance! Definetly one of the most anticipated series to watch!
With a 15 second announcement video, the release date got official for November 2024. It is aiming to be released after League of Legends 15th anniversary. Which already seems to be a stacked event.
Since Arcane got to override a big portio of Zaun’s history and League’s Lore, we can’t really be sure what to expect in the plot department. What we can realize is that we got teased of the upcoming civil-war of Zaun and Piltover.
Another cool detail is the shadow! In case you missed it, as Jinx is walking, her reflection is that on of Vi! Details are everywhere.
My Daemon
Next we have an all-new anime born from a collaboration between writer Hirotaka Adachi (Otsuichi) and a spirited animation studio in Thailand. Coming in 23 November 2023. In Earth’s near future, a kindhearted boy named Kento and a Daemon child called Anna set out on a grand adventure together in hopes of saving Kento’s mother.
“To save his mother, a kind-hearted boy and his tiny daemon friend set out on a journey across post-apocalyptic Japan as dark forces close in.”
Ultraman: Rising
When baseball superstar Ken Sato returns home to Japan to pick up the mantle of Earth-defending superhero Ultraman, he quickly finds more than he bargained for as he’s forced to raise the offspring of his greatest foe. From director Shannon Tindle (Kubo & The Two Strings) & co-director John Aoshima (Kubo & The Two Strings), and based on characters by Eiji Tsuburaya, a creative mind behind Godzilla, the action-packed animated film ULTRAMAN: RISING hits Netflix in 2024.
LEO
Actor and comedian Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer) delivers signature laughs in this coming-of-age animated musical comedy about the last year of elementary school – as seen through the eyes of a class pet. Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo (Sandler) has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle (Bill Burr). When he learns he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside but instead gets caught up in the problems of his anxious students — including an impossibly mean substitute teacher. Onmyoji
Yearning, obsession, burning desire…
When people’s uncontrollable emotions begin to overflow, that is when they become demons.
In prosperous ancient Kyoto, court musician Minamoto Hiromasa, grandson of Emperor Daigo, visits the residence of the official onmyoji — the yin-yang diviners — in hopes of unraveling the mysteries of the demons that disturb the city. While there, he is introduced to a man perfectly suited for untangling these enigmas: the great onmyoji Abe Seimei, a man cloaked in an otherworldly aura. Hiromasa is vexed by Seimei’s lack of interest in the mundane world and his reluctance to help, but the two of them confront the demons at the cause of the incidents.
They eventually find the onmyoji Ashiya Doman, who lurks in the shadows of the demons. Seimei and Hiromasa are joined by Hiromasa’s flute teacher Imperial Prince Atsumi, the emperor’s onmyoji Kamo Yasunori, and Lady Tsuyuko, who comes to accompany them as a result of a particular case. As their emotions intertwine like threads, will Seimei and Hiromasa be able to restore peace to the capital?
The ordeal of these mismatched friends destined to share the same fate begins now.

Akuma kun
Strange requests often find their way to the doors of the Millenarianism Research Institute. The leader of the institute, Ichiro Umoregi, also known as “Akuma Kun,” is a prodigy that only comes along once every 10,000 years. However, he doesn’t know his real family. Along with his partner Mephisto III, Akuma Kun takes on mystical cases while digging into his own origins in this bizarre detective buddy story.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep
From the world of The Witcher comes Sirens of The Deep, starring Doug Cockle as the voice of Geralt. Coming to Netflix late 2024. Doug Cockle returns to voice our favorite Witcher, from the Games!
The movie will be set in between the Episode 5 and Episode 6 from the Season 1 of the live adaptation series on Netflix. It is based on Original Witcher Short Stories

Blood of Zeus
At the end of Friday’s Netflix Geeked Stream we got an exclusive spotlight from the studio that brought us Blood of Zeus, Castlevania: Nocturne, Masters of the Universe: Revolution and the highly anticipated Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft!
Regarding the upcoming Blood of Zeus Season 2, we got some reveals from the studio and developers, like animation updates and more! We got a glimpse of the Underworld in Season 1 and now in Season 2 they get to open that up and explore it!
Hades is going to be featured in Season 2. A God who has been “demonized” by the world, but he still has emotions, his feelings. Season 2 will be a deep story about love, betrayal with a good surprise in terms of how Hades is going to interact with the plot.

You would think that’s a heroic thing, but actually Yusuke was known for his really bad attitude, so when he died the Spirit World was shocked that he would do something as noble as to sacrifice himself for a child! So things aren’t so bad for Yusuke even though this series opens with him literally dying because he is given a chance to be resurrected and return to the world as a spirit detective and investigator of the supernatural.

Netflix’s last Geeked Week livestream was dedicated to the upcoming movie “Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire”. The story is written by Zack Snyder, known for Man of Steel, Army of the Dead and 300. Netflix has posted an article about the livestream, including the interview of Zack Snyder. A small description of the movie:
