The Last Shadar – Synopsis
Jack Campbell is miserable. Author Inspiration
“I’ve always been a fan of the Narnia and Lord of the Rings books. So much so, that I decided to write my own fantasy series that combines various elements from both. I wanted it to have Christian themes, like Narnia, but also a vast history and mythology, like Lord of the Rings. It will be up to readers to decide if I have accomplished this.” -Dan Rendell
Lord of the Rings and Narnia are one of a kind and inspiration for many genres and books. Dan Rendell has published the first book of his series Tribulations of Eloria. For what he had told me, it will be a seven book series. pretty exciting I must say, considering the fact he has done an exceptional job building the world of Eloria, its mythology, history, continents and of course the map!
The map illustrations remind me a lot of Tolkien’s work in the Lord of the Rings, something that found me appreciating the world much more!
Is this one of the upcoming best selling series? Honestly only time will tell, but I have already purchased ‘The Last Shadar’ and I cannot wait to start this series and dive into the world of Eloria. A world where Dan Rendell has put much effort into building
